PM Modi arrives home, greeted with dhols, nagadas after ‘historic’ US visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Delhi airport on Sunday (September 26, 2021) after concluding his three-day US visit. BJP president JP Nadda and other leaders of the party greeted PM Modi at the airport. Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta revealed that a stage has been set up for the grand welcome of the prime minister.
“A big stage has been set up for the Prime Minister to come and accept the welcome from people. The garland to welcome his successful visit is specially curated with flowers from different regions of the country. There would be close to 100 dhols and nagaras from different states to welcome PM Modi,” stated Gupta.
PM Modi also addressed the 81st episode of his monthly radio programme `Mann Ki Baat` today. In his address also said, “Team India is breaking world records in fighting corona on a daily basis with states & UTs administering the highest doses of vaccination. I am hopeful that India once again during the festive season, will responsibly act towards COVID-19.”
In other developments, the oath-taking ceremony of the Charanjit Singh Channi-led Punjab cabinet will take place today at the Raj Bhawan and may see the induction of seven new faces.
Additionally, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Bhubaneswar said that warnings have been issued in parts of southern Odisha that are likely to be heavily affected by the cyclonic storm Gulab.
On the other hand, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair a high-level meeting with Chief Ministers of ten Naxal-hit states in Delhi today to review the current status as well as to discuss future road map for security and development issues.
Also, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national President JP Nadda will inaugurate the two-day national executive meet of the BJP Mahila Morcha on Sunday to discuss the strategy and formulate the road map for the upcoming Assembly elections in the five states.
