Mumbai: 1 Worker Dead, Another Injured After Actress’s Speeding Car Hits Them In Kandivali East

One worker was killed, and another sustained serious injuries after they were struck by the car of Marathi actor Urmilla Kothare in the Kandivali area of Mumbai early on Saturday morning. The actor and her driver also suffered injuries in the accident, according to an official, news agency PTI reported.
The incident occurred when Kothare was returning home after completing her filming. The actor’s car collided with two laborers who were engaged in work related to the Poisar Metro station in Kandivali East, shortly after midnight. While one laborer succumbed to his injuries, the other sustained severe injuries. Kothare and her driver were also injured in the accident, their airbags deployed at the moment, saving their lives.
According to preliminary information, the driver of the speeding vehicle lost control, causing it to hit the victims who were working on the roadside. A case has been registered against the driver, and an investigation is currently underway.
Urmila Kothare is a well-known actress in the Marathi film industry, having appeared in several notable films, including Duniyadari and Thank God.
